ENCE knock out BIG to join 1

ENCE have defeated BIG 2-1 in the New Legends Stage to eliminate the German team (5-16 on Dust2, 16-14 on Train, and 16-10 on Overpass).

BIG and ENCE headlined the first elimination match in the New Legends Stage, starting the series on Dust2. Double kills by Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget and Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş gave the pistol round victory to the T-sided BIG who made it 4-0 after winning the first weapon round. ENCE stopped BIG for the first time in the eighth round, with Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo and Jani "⁠Aerial⁠" Jussila both getting two kills.

Even though ENCE got to five rounds, BIG finished the first half 10-5 ahead thanks to XANTARES' opening kills in the final two rounds. The German team were relentless on the CT-side, earning ten map points after XANTARES picked up a quad kill in a 2vs4. BIG closed it out with a 16-5 final scoreline.

ENCE came alive late in the series

XANTARES and Tizian "⁠tiziaN⁠" Feldbusch's frags in the second pistol made it 9-7 but ENCE managed to win the first weapon round as Sami "⁠xseveN⁠" Laasanen got a quad kill. Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz and tiziaN clutched a 2vs4 in the following round to reset ENCE's economy. xseveN and Aerial returned the favor in the 22nd round, winning a 2vs4 to give ENCE their ninth round (13-9).

sergej won 1vs2s in the 23rd and 26th rounds to keep ENCE alive and the Finns tied the game at 14-14 with a B-site shutdown. Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli & company got the last two rounds to steal the map 16-14.

BIG went out with a 0-3 record

Overpass was the decider and ENCE got off to a good start on it, winning the first six rounds. BIG responded with a three round streak, with allu getting an AWP quad kill and sergej pulling off a defuse during a 1vs1 on the B-site. Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik clutched a 1vs2 in the following round but BIG lost the last two rounds of the half to trail 11-4 at halftime.

After securing the first three rounds on the CT-side, BIG lost two weapon rounds to trail 13-7. Aerial got a triple kill in a 3vs3 post-plant to make it 14-10 and ENCE went on to win the map 16-10. With the 2-1 series victory, ENCE remained alive at IEM Katowice and eliminated BIG.
